Nancy Clark, A.P.
I’ve been practicing in this location since opening in 1999. I graduated in ’97 from the Community School of Traditional Chinese Healthcare in North Miami after completing a four year academia program and 1200 clinical hours. I then became licensed after sitting for the National Board Exams for Acupuncture. I received my bio-puncuture injection therapy certification in 2000 at the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Ft Lauderdale. Over my years of practice, I have always sought to expand my knowledge to be of better service to my patients. It is because of this, my interests have also led me into the world of Functional Medicine, a fascinating and ever growing field of natural medicine, that incorporates support strategies for lifestyle and nutrition modifications based on lab testing. Chinese Medicine and Functional Medicine, complement each other beautifully.
I came to study Chinese Medicine after being diagnosed with a “ moderately severe “ case of ulcerative colitis at age 36. I was given a lengthy course of prednisone, then prescribed meds to manage the colitis. By chance, I found my way to my second cousin, Kevin Clark, who practiced Chinese Medicine, lived five minutes from me for six years, though I never knew it, until he showed up in life when I was diagnosed. I hadn’t seen him for 25 years, and had all but forgotten he existed. It worked, and I never had to take meds again. Now I wanted to know how it worked. My attraction to Chinese Medicine and all holistic medicine, is it’s basic premise that health and disease / disorders, whether they be mild or severe, acute or chronic, are subject to the same principals of natural order and cycles, as everything else found in nature. And it is by seeing all things through this lens, almost always, a solution to the cause, and not just the symptom, can be found. It is clear, simple and wise.
The Nei Jing, a medical class written in the 2nd century B.C. states:
“ Maintaining order rather than correcting disorder is the ultimate principal of wisdom. To cure disease after it has appeared, is like digging a well when one is thirsty, or forging weapons after the war has already begun. "
My success is measured only by the success and positive outcome experienced by my patients. I’m always honored to have the opportunity to be a facilitator in helping them to resolve whatever health issue, big or small, they seek to remedy.

After relocating to Miami in 1993 as a professional dancer I gained a certificate in massage at the ‘Educating Hands of Massage’. My intention was to add this as a second career option, but it immediately appealed to me and has been my primary occupation since 1996. Since then I have taken many different workshops and certification courses including NeuroMuscular Therapy, Shiatsu, Thai Massage, Mother Massage, and Baby Massage. I am a believer that massage is a great way to establish communication with your own body, bringing awareness and a general sense of wellbeing.
I received my Facial Specialist Certification in 2000 from Florida College of Natural Health in Miami. I worked for 10 years as a Massage Therapist, Facialist and Trainer at the renowned Spa at The Mandarin Oriental Miami, known worldwide as one of the most respected holistic spas in the U.S. It is the only 5 star rated Spa in Miami since 2008.

I was lead to massage therapy by my passion for helping others in their healing process. Before attending Educating Hands School of Massage in Miami, I studied many healing modalities; Karmapa Reiki, Tian Do Bambo, and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage. My adjunctive trainings include Thai - Yoga, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Hot Stone Massage. My path has led me to other various workshops and trainings in the healing arts. I hold a Certification in Pediatric Massage for children with ADD, AHD, and Autism. I also completed my training as a Trauma Resolution Counselor ( TRC ) at the Trauma Resolution Center of Miami. I am continuously looking for new ways to expand my knowledge and skills so that I may be of greater service to my clients and the community.

I was first drawn to massage as a respite from a very stressful work environment. While living in Toronto, a session of reflexology or massage in the city’s China Town district became my regime. With each motion and stroke of the therapist, the tension seemed to ooze from me. Touch was an amazing and healing tooI of renewal. I wanted to learn more about this simple yet endless source of positive bliss.
I began with an intro- course at Sutherland-Chan in Toronto and continued in Miami at M.D.C as well as Educating Hands where I became certified in Reflexology, a technique that interrupts stress, helps reset and restore balance, and feels euphoric.
I’m a participating member of F.M.C.T.A. of Florida, which allows me to be part of an educational family and network of practitioners in varied modalities and keeps me informed on ethics and state laws. Massage Therapy has become a wonderful and every growing journey with great rewards, especially from clients : “ That was amazing “.

The pain was excruciating. After a second sleepless night I decided to call Clark Acupuncture at 305-981-7958 to make an appointment. Nancy Clark gave me a treatment and I felt less pain. The second treatment allowed me some sleep and much less pain. After the third time I was pain free and felt human again.Barbara Cohen, Surfside, FL
The treatments at the Clark Acupuncture Center worked wonders for me so I urge anyone experiencing pain to give Nancy Clark a call and get a treatment that actually treats!
Thanks for sharing your immense wisdom during my identity crisis.Alice
I'm a 71 year old ex-jock with aches and pains which come with the territory. A friend reccommended Clark Acupuncture Center. I was a hollistic skeptic. No more. Besides being so knowledgeable in natural pain management, Nancy Clark has a wonderful way about her. She explained her methodology in terms I could understand. There is also a gentleness, a simpatico about Nancy. In her office you have such confidence that she is focused on your particular situation. I could go on, but in short I'm back on the tennis court unemcumbered because of Nancy Clark.Al Liebmann
